โ ReMac
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information ReMac collects and how it is used. ReMac is designed to be
local-first: whenever possible, your iPhone connects directly to your Mac on your own network, and that
traffic does not pass through our servers.
Information We Collect
- Sign in with Apple. When you sign in, we receive a stable Apple-provided identifier
for your account. If you choose to share them, we may also receive your name and an email address
(which may be an Apple private-relay address). We use this to link your iPhone and Mac to the same
owner and to manage your access.
- Subscription status. If you subscribe to ReMac Cloud, your purchase is processed by
Apple. We receive and store your subscription status and an Apple transaction identifier so we can grant
cloud access. We never receive or store your payment card details โ Apple handles all
payment information.
- Connection data for cloud sessions. When you connect over the internet, our cloud
relay brokers the connection between your iPhone and Mac and passes session traffic between them. To do
this we process connection metadata such as device identifiers, network endpoints, and timestamps.
Session traffic is protected in transit. The relay is currently in active development.
- Local (LAN) sessions. When your devices connect on the same local network, the
session stays on your network and does not route through our servers.
How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the Service, including pairing your devices and routing cloud sessions.
- To manage subscriptions and verify entitlement to cloud features.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service.
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as needed to run the Service:
with Apple (for Sign in with Apple and for subscription payments and validation), and with
infrastructure providers that host the relay on our behalf and process data under our instructions. We may
disclose information if required by law.
Data Retention
We retain account and subscription information for as long as your account is active or as needed to
provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
Security
ReMac uses standard transport encryption (TLS) and the encryption provided by Apple’s operating
systems to protect data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we
cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
- You can cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings.
- You can request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us.
- You can stop using cloud connections at any time and continue using ReMac on your local network.
Children
ReMac is not directed to children and is not intended for use by children under the age required by law
in their region.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the
